MediCop® was created because I saw a gap between traditional medical training in law enforcement academies and the realities faced by law enforcement officers in the field.
At the time, officers often carried little more than basic first-aid supplies and a CPR mask (if that) despite routinely responding to shootings, serious crashes, and other incidents involving life-threatening injuries.
MediCop bridged that gap—gave officers practical trauma training, taught them to recognize and treat immediate life threats, and equipped them with the tools to act when seconds matter.
The goal was never to turn cops into medics. It was to make them better prepared to save a life until advanced medical care arrives.

Real Anatomy. Real Tissue. Real-World application.

Advanced MediCop® training at MERI Memphis gives students the opportunity to apply critical trauma skills using human cadaver tissue in a controlled laboratory environment.
Working with actual human anatomy provides a level of realism that traditional training aids cannot replicate. Students gain a better understanding of tissue characteristics, wound depth, anatomy, and the practical application of hemorrhage-control techniques.
The MERI experience bridges the gap between classroom instruction and real-world trauma—allowing students to see, feel, and better understand the injuries they may one day be called upon to treat.
It represents the tip of the spear in realistic MediCop® medical training.
